Brindisa Ltd
Our sister company supplies all of our specialist Spanish produce such as beans, legumes, cured meats and cheeses, supporting small batch and family producers all over Spain.
The story starts here, in 1980s Catalonia. Brindisa’s founder, Monika Linton, had settled into Spanish life and, by proxy, the extraordinary ingredients and flavours of the country around her. At that time, people in the UK had little knowledge (or interest) in Spanish food, something Monika was determined to change. And so, Brindisa was born.
Starting on a shoestring selling boxes of cheese to chefs from the back of her car, Monika soon took an old potato factory on the corner of Borough Market. Here, she created the first Brindisa Tapas – London’s first no-reservations, traditional tapas bar—a place to bring the food and hospitality of Spain to London’s table.
Following the first restaurant in Borough Market, Brindisa Tapas has opened in some of London’s iconic locations: on Broadwick Street in Soho, Exhibition Road in South Kensington, Battersea Power Station, and our first neighbourhood site, on the river in Richmond-Upon-Thames.
We’re proud to have been forerunners in bringing the true food, drink and hospitality of Spain to London for 20 years. We strive daily to serve the Spanish spirit, rich heritage and traditions, vibrancy and zest for life to all London’s residents, tourists and workers alike.
We pride ourselves on using the best hand-selected ingredients from small family producers in Spain alongside local, seasonal fresh produce from the UK. These ingredients are then married together in the kitchen by our talented team of chefs.
As proud members of the Sustainable Restaurant Association, the environment and sustainable practices are at the heart of everything we do. We continually assess how we work to improve what we do and reduce our environmental impact.
Brindisa began fuelled by the love and support of our UK and Spanish families and friends. For us Brindisa Tapas is more than just a business it is a family – something we value very highly. Our family is rooted in a shared love of artisanal Spanish food, and excellent hospitality.
Tapas Brindisa London Bridge only takes reservations from 12pm until 5 pm, Monday to Thursday.
